Message from the ASHNR/ASNR 2027 Joint Annual Meeting Program Chair
Dear Friends,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the ASHNR/ASNR 2027 Joint Annual Meeting, May 14–19, 2027, in gorgeous San Diego, CA. This year is a truly special occasion as we bring together the Annual Meetings of the ASHNR (May 14–16) and the ASNR (May 16–19) in a unique, collaborative format.
This meeting’s theme, Beyond the Reading Room: Connect, Collaborate, Care, reflects a central goal of the 2027 Joint Annual Meeting: Helping neuroradiologists better understand how imaging influences patient management and outcomes across the continuum of care. Through multidisciplinary sessions, tumor board-style discussions, case-based learning, and interactive panels with clinical partners, attendees will gain a broader perspective on the real-world impact of their interpretations. By stepping beyond image description to understand treatment decisions, clinical pathways, and patient experiences, we can become more effective consultants, collaborators, and advocates for our patients.
The 2027 Joint Annual Meeting will showcase the latest advances across neuroradiology with a strong emphasis on patient-centered clinical practice. From cutting-edge research and emerging technologies to innovations in education and care delivery, programming will focus on developments most likely to influence decision-making, improve outcomes, and strengthen imaging’s role in multidisciplinary management. Through plenary sessions, specialty tracks, scientific presentations, exhibits, and interactive discussions, attendees will explore not only what is new in neuroradiology, but how these advances can translate into meaningful impact for the patients we serve.
Connection will be woven throughout the meeting—between specialties, imaging findings and clinical decisions, neuroradiology communities, and the patients whose lives are affected by our work. The program is designed to highlight radiology’s unique ability to connect the dots across disciplines while offering practical insights that can immediately enhance collaboration and care.
Just as importantly, the meeting will offer countless opportunities to connect with colleagues, build new partnerships across subspecialties, and strengthen our shared commitment to patient-centered care. Whether through scientific exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, or social events, we hope attendees leave with new knowledge, renewed inspiration, and meaningful professional connections that continue long after the meeting concludes.
We are thrilled to host this year’s meeting at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, a beautiful waterfront venue that offers sweeping views of San Diego Bay and immediate access to the city’s vibrant downtown. With its lovely surroundings, walkable location, and proximity to dining, culture, and outdoor activities, it provides the perfect backdrop for both professional engagement and meaningful connection.
We are excited to welcome you to this joint meeting and look forward to sharing this exceptional experience with you. I can’t wait to see all of you in San Diego!
