ASNR members within Academic Institutions make up nearly 50 percent of the Society’s total membership. These members practice in hospitals, health systems and academic medical centers and are engaged in the practice of educating the next generation of neuroradiologists.

Academic Neuroradiologist Benefits

ASNR members receive significant discounts on education registration, from the ASNR Annual Meeting to the Comprehensive Neuroradiology Course, one our newest offerings.

The American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR) is the preeminent peer-reviewed journal in Neuroradiology.  AJNR furthers knowledge in all aspects of neuroimaging, head and neck imaging, and spine imaging for neuroradiologists, radiologists, trainees, scientists, and associated professionals through print and/or electronic publication of quality peer-reviewed articles that lead to the highest standards in patient care, research, and education and to promote discussion of these and other issues through its electronic activities.

AJNR publishes 12 issues per year, with more than 300 fully reviewed original research papers, review articles, clinical reports, and brief/technical notes in a typical year.

As a member, you’ll receive free access to all material in Education Connection, the education portal for the ASNR. Hundreds of hours of CME are available from past ASNR Annual Meetings, online webinars, Neurographics articles and more.

ASNR offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for members to get involved in helping shape the future of the Society. From serving on a committee to reviewing Annual Meeting abstracts to helping share messages on social media, there are myriad opportunities to use your time and talent in impactful and meaningful ways.

Be a part of the ASNR Mentorship Program and provide guidance to the next generation of neuroradiologists. ASNR Mentors typically provide one year of mentoring with a mentee with one-hour virtual sessions each month being the goal of the program.

Multiple opportunities exist to obtain grant funding through the Foundation of the ASNR grant program.

Both in-person and virtual opportunities exist for you to connect with your peers. Whether you have a question related to neuroradiology or running your business, know that you have a trusted group of colleagues you can turn to.

Attendance at the ASNR Annual Meeting provides access to approximately 2,000 professionals in the Neuroradiology community.
