- Review your membership options below and then click the Join Now button for that option.
- Fill out all necessary information and submit.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Shall be a radiologist that meets the following requirements:
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), The American Osteopathic College of Radiology, or other Board or Tribunal which, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, is of equivalent rank.
- Completed a one-year ACGME- or RCPSC-approved Neuroradiology fellowship program
- Passed the ABR Neuroradiology Subspecialty Certification exam
- Engaged in the active practice of Neuroradiology, devoting at least fifty percent (exclusive of administrative duties) to the professional practice of Neuroradiology are eligible to apply as Senior Members.
Selected radiologists who do not meet one or more of the above criteria, may be proposed for election to Senior membership on the basis of outstanding neuroradiological experience or contribution as recommended by the Membership Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. Senior Member – Military
In addition to the requirements above, to receive the Military rate, the Senior Member must work in military hospitals, be on active duty or reserves, or be employed by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Shall be a Neuroradiologist, scientists (master’s degree, or higher [PhD]) radiologists and physicians including non-radiologists/clinicians with an interest in Neuroradiology, who do not meet the criteria for Senior membership, are eligible to apply for Member. Member – Outside North America

ASNR offers a special transitional rate to those who have recently completed a fellowship in neuroradiology or a radiology subspecialty area.
Junior Member – First Year – $220.00*
Individuals who have completed a fellowship in neuroradiology or a radiology subspecialty area, within the past 12 months, are eligible to apply.
Junior Member – Second Year – $440.00*
Individuals who have completed a fellowship in neuroradiology or a radiology subspecialty area, within the past 13-24 months, are eligible to apply.
If you are not a current ASNR Member-in-Training fellow member, please include with your membership application, a copy of your fellowship certificate, diploma or a letter from your fellowship Program Director indicating the year the fellowship was completed.
* When dues are paid during the 4th Quarter, membership will be valid through the following year.
ASNR offers complimentary ($0 fee) membership to all those currently in-training.
ALL MIT APPLICANTS – To apply for an ANSR MIT membership, please do the following after creating your ASNR.org account:
- Click on JOIN at the top of the homepage.
- Click on JOIN NOW on the Join as a New Member page when it opens.
- Fill out the MIT application.
- Upload your most recent CV and a current Letter of Good Standing.
If you don’t have access to a Letter of Good Standing, please click here and fill out the ASNR Program Verification Letter.
Member-in-Training – Fellow
Physicians in an ACGME-, RCPSC-accredited (Canadian), or other approved neuroradiology or related subspecialty fellowship program are eligible to apply for Member-in-Training Fellow Member. There is a two-year maximum on complimentary membership for Neuroradiology Fellows.
Member-in-Training – Resident
Physicians in an ACGME-, RCPSC-accredited (Canadian), or other approved radiology residency program are eligible to apply for Member-in-Training Resident Member.
Member-in-Training – Medical Student
Medical students are eligible to apply for Member-in-Training Medical Student Member.
Member-in-Training – Graduate Student Graduate (PhD) students, or post-doctoral fellows within five years of doctoral degree are eligible to apply for Member-in-Training Graduate Student Member.
Radiologists/neuroradiologists in developing countries with an annual per-person GDP of $10,000 or less are eligible to apply for International Outreach Member. Your country must be listed on the WHO Hinari A or B country list, https://www.research4life.org/access/eligibility/. Upload your most recent CV (in English) in the File Upload Section or email it directly to membership@asnr.org.
International Outreach Member dues are $110* annually.
* When dues are paid during the 4th Quarter, membership will be valid through the following year.
Physicists (PhD) or neuroscientists (MS, PhD) with an interest in and/or position relevant to Neuroradiology or Radiology, and who may not fulfill the requirements for Senior membership are eligible to apply for Research Scientist Member. Applicants must be sponsored by one member of the Society holding Senior, Member or Research Scientist status. ASNR has members available to act as a Sponsor. Please indicate your need for a Sponsor and upload your most recent CV (in English) during the application process or email it directly to membership@asnr.org.
Research Scientist Member dues are $110* annually.
* When dues are paid during the 4th Quarter, membership will be valid through the following year.
ASNR offers complimentary ($0 fee) membership to current ASNR members who are fully retired from active practice. Please contact the Membership Department at membership@asnr.org to request a status change.
