ASNR Board of Directors

Purpose

The ASNR Board of Directors is empowered to carry out the business of the Society. Their primary goal is to set forward strategic and financial priorities for the Society that address its needs, both by looking internally and externally in order to articulate the needs of the specialty with an action plan for its implementation. Actions taken by the Board of Directors will be reported in full to the Advisory Council.

  • To run the ASNR in a cost-effective manner, while also achieving the educational, research, and clinical practice goals of the membership of the Society.
  • Provide support to the Executive Director and ASNR staff in fulfilling the ASNR strategic plan, including:
    • Strategic Goal 1: Enhance ASNR’s role as the leader in neuroradiology
    • Strategic Goal 2: Deliver relevant and timely education and information that is relevant to the practice of neuroradiology
    • Strategic Goal 3: Recognize and promote neuroradiology as vital to quality patient care.
    • Strategic Goal 4: Promote ASNR and the Foundation’s neuroradiology research efforts to support established strategic initiatives
  • Improve functionality and accountability of committees through good governance practices.
  • To add value to ASNR membership through initiatives related to education, research, clinical practice, and maintenance of certification.
  • To ensure enhanced ASNR Web offerings, so that members can attain all requirements for maintenance of certification through the ASNR and its website.
