Outstanding Contributions in Research Award

PURPOSE:  This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated consistent excellence and lifelong accomplishment in basic or clinical neuroscience research, particularly funded research from the NIH, NSF, March of Dimes, etc.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES: A Senior or Emeritus ASNR member, with long-term achievements in clinical or basic research. Nominees from the previous 3 years that have not received the award are automatically eligible for re-nomination.

EXCLUSIONS: Current Officers of the Society, members of the Advisory Council, members of the Foundation Board of Trustees, members of the Awards Committee, and previous Outstanding Contributions in Research Award recipients are ineligible for nomination.

NOMINATION PROCESS: All members of the Society may submit nominations.

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: The nomination period is now closed. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, October 20, 2023; 9:00 AM Central Time via the nomination form. Please be sure to indicate Outstanding Contributions in Research Award in the dropdown menu and attach your nomination letter (and nominee’s CV, if available, as a Word or pdf document.) Be sure to provide the qualifications of the candidate in detail

AWARD PRESENTATION: The 2024 Outstanding Contributions in Research Award will be recognized during the President’s Appreciation Gala at the ASNR 62nd Annual Meeting, Monday, May 20, 2024, in Las Vegas.
