RAPID has been used in randomized endovascular trials, under the studies’ IRB approval, for selecting patients for both early and late window thrombectomy. These landmark trials, SWIFT PRIME, EXTEND IA, DAWN and DEFUSE 3, have substantially increased the number of patients who can be successfully treated and expanded the treatment window to 24 hours.
