
Call for Abstracts
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2019 (11:59 PM EST)
Acceptance notifications will be sent on or before January 15, 2020 upon conclusion of peer review.

Abstract Submissions Information and Criteria
- Abstracts should describe the learning objectives of the presentation.
- The American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR) encourages presenters to submit manuscripts based on their work to AJNR before considering other journals.
- Presenters of accepted abstracts must register for the ASNR 58th Annual Meeting and/or the Foundation of the ASNR Symposium 2020.
- Published or previously presented works should NOT be submitted.
- Submission topic areas include: Adult Brain, Spine, Head and Neck, Pediatrics, Functional/Advanced Imaging, Interventional, Health Policy, AI/Informatics, and Professional Development.
- Submit each abstract in one category only.
- Format abstract text using headings required for submission category.
- Maximum length: 2,500 characters, not including title, authors, images, figures.
- Submission site allows uploading of files into the system.
- Changes can be made to the abstract until the deadline.
Scientific Paper (Oral Presentation)
- 6-minute presentation plus 1-minute discussion that summarizes details of original investigative research.
- Required abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Excerpta (Oral Presentation)
- 3-minute presentation plus 1-minute discussion that teaches a lesson, illustrates a problem in diagnosis, or focuses on noteworthy radiologic appearances.
- Required abstract format: Purpose, Case Report, Imaging Findings, Summary.
Scientific Poster (Printed Poster)
- Visual presentation summarizing details of original investigative research.
- Poster Dimensions are: 47ó inches (1.2m) high x 77 inches (1.95m) wide.
- Required abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Electronic Scientific Poster (Single Powerpoint Slide)
- Visual presentation summarizing details of original investigative research.
- Required abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Electronic Educational Exhibit (Powerpoint Presentation)
- An interactive, visually-oriented educational presentation.
- Electronic Educational Exhibits highlight the unique didactic advantages of the computer format and focus on its interactive potential.
- Required abstract format: summary of the planned presentation and list of educational objectives. Consider use of “Purpose, Methods, Findings, Summary” when appropriate.
Educational Exhibit Poster (Printed Poster)
- A visual presentation/display featuring cutting-edge material or instructional review of a topic.
- Poster Dimensions are: 47ó inches (1.2m) high x 77 inches (1.95m) wide.
- Required abstract format: summary of the planned presentation and list of educational objectives. Consider use of “Purpose, Methods, Findings, Summary” when appropriate.
For Each Abstract:
- Only one graphic file with a maximum of four images is permitted.
- Required graphic file resolution is 300 dpi or greater (e.g. 900 pixel width by 900 pixel height for a 3-inch by 3-inch image).
- Maximum file size of 100 megabytes.
- Only .jpg and .gif formats are accepted.
