ASNR 2026-2027 Election Process

Following an open call for nominations in December 2025, the Nominating Committee carefully reviewed a strong pool of qualified candidates and is now presenting its recommended nominees for your consideration.

The 2026 – 2027 term marks the first year of ASNR’s newly adopted leadership structure. Under this model, the Secretary position begins a six-year leadership pathway. As part of the transition plan, the membership will elect both a Vice President and a Secretary for the next two election cycles. Each position serves a one-year term before advancing through the leadership succession, culminating in the final role of First Past President. The Vice President and Secretary will each complete one term in their initial roles before progressing along this pathway. A visual overview of the updated leadership structure is included below.

In addition to the Board positions, this year the membership will elect the first Executive Council Member-at-Large. This new two-year position is designed to ensure broad representation of neuroradiological practice on the Executive Council and will be filled by an interventional neuroradiologist.

Finally, three members of the Nominating Committee are rotating off this year, and we thank them for their dedicated service. Candidates for the open Nominating Committee positions were selected by the current committee from the open call for nominations. When voting, please select three candidates for this position.
