Free yourself from the desktop and stay on top of the latest research with the American Journal of Neuroradiology’s new iPhone app. AJNR Mobile is a free application that is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices and allows access to multimedia content from any location.
This browsing app displays the current AJNR table of contents, the many manuscripts posted ahead of print in Publication Preview, and the entire archive of previously published articles. Push notifications alert users when new articles are available through the app, keeping readers up-to-date with the latest releases. There are links to a special Web view for figures and tables, as well as quick and easy navigation to the AJNR Blog, Case of the Week archive, Special Collections, information for authors, the Journal’s online submission system, and the American Society of Neuroradiology homepage.
The app is also designed to download and play AJNR’s podcasts, bringing commentary and insightful interviews with each new issue. This feature is scheduled to be added with the next release of the app, due in approximately one month.
AJNR Mobile is part of the Journal’s continuing endeavor to create an online experience rich with all the elements and Web 2.0 capabilities its audience desires. Also new this month is a redesigned electronic table of contents that incorporates the Editor’s Choices and Fellows’ Journal Club selections and colorful new graphics.
