presentation.
Objectives
- Learn some of the Internet Neuroradiolgy sites
- Learn some of the Neuroradiology resources that are online
- Learn the major Radiology manufacturers sites
Introduction
The Internet has significantly changed the way radiologist function.
I Google issues several times daily (http://www.google.com), to learn more
about disease processes, radiologic issues, or just to see what is out
there. There is an amazing variety of information on the Net, and it has
been reported that Google (one of the best search engines) is only looking
at less than 1% of it. Those of you who know how statistics can warp data
can understand this statement if you consider the vast amount of data on
the internet that exists only as data warehouses that are not directly
catalogued by Google type worms that are constantly searching and
cataloging pages.
I want to apologize for any sites that are your favorites (or yours) now,
and invite you to send them to me for future inclusion.
Medicine
In terms of general Medical sites, some of the most popular include
these:
There are even books devoted to the subject, in case you can’t Google:

Radiology

well. You can easily find out information about various radiology

And most large Radiology Companies have an online presence:
Web Page Creation
There are several Online resources for designing, creating, and
maintaining your own Web site on the Internet, but you can get a great
deal of information from this syllabus itself, as well as attending the
ELC Workshops at the ASNR meetings.
Abbreviations, acronyms, etc.
- Browser: short for Web browser, or a software program that are
used to find and display Web pages, i.e., Netscape Navigator and
