ASNR is unable to intervene with either the U.S. Embassy or with the State Department on behalf of any participant; however, if you need a personal letter of invitation to attend the meeting, contact Mollie Ryan- mryan@asnr.org and include the following:
Name
Hospital/ Institution/ Affiliation/Organization
Complete Mailing address
Telephone and Fax Numbers
Any other specific information required for your country
- Allow a minimum of six (6) months to complete the visa application process
- A Visa only allows travel to a U.S. Port of entry
- The immigration inspector at the port entry will determine if a person may enter the U.S. and the length of stay
- It is best to let the consular know of your full plan to seek approval for the full duration of your planned visit in the U.S.
- ASNR has no influence in Visa related issues
- When traveling to the U.S. carry a copy of your planned itinerary. Include not only the visit to the ASNR Annual Meeting, but any following business or vacation plans.
