Reminders:

Oral Presenters

  • All oral presenters are required to deliver their work via electronic format.
  • All presentations must be uploaded to the ASNR-provided computer system. Personal laptop computers will not be permitted.
  • Presenters are strongly encouraged to submit their presentation prior to the Annual Meeting at www.presentationmanagement.com/asnr. Presenters are required to check-in at the Speaker Ready Room to review their uploaded file.
  • Presenters may also submit their presentation at the Speaker Ready Room, but this must be done no later than 4:00pm the day prior to their presentation. This allows the Audio Visual service representative (Freeman Audio Visual Solutions) to preview and troubleshoot all sessions.
  • As in 2007, changes to your presentation can be made up to one (1) hour before the start of the session in which you are presenting. No changes will be permitted after this time.

Advance Submission Required:
All eSE presentations must be finalized and submitted by Friday, May 2, 2008 to ASNR. Digital source files must be submitted at that time also. Authors who have not submitted their presentation by the deadline will be given the option of either submitting as a Scientific Exhibit (Printed) or withdrawing altogether. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

Consent for Use in Neurographics
By submitting an Electronic Scientific Exhibit (eSE) abstract for presentation at the ASNR Annual Meeting, the authors give ASNR permission to publish the final presentation in Neurographics*, the online educational forum of the ASNR and NER Foundation.

2008 ASNR 46th ANNUAL MEETING

Set Up, Display and Dismantle Times

Exhibit Set Up Time:

Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 9:00am through 11:00pm
Monday, June 2, 2008 from 6:00am through 9:00am

Note: All scientific exhibits must be set up by 9:00am on Monday, June 2, 2008. Exceptions to this policy must be requested in writing to ASNR and approved by the Scientific Exhibits Chair.

Display Dates:

Monday, June 2, 2008 from 12 Noon through 9:00pm
Tuesday, June 3* - Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 6:30am through 9:00pm
Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 6:30am through 3:00pm
*The Scientific Exhibits will be open during the reception on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

Exhibit Dismantle Time:

Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm Note: All exhibits must remain in place until 3:00pm, Thursday, June 5, 2008. Exceptions to this policy must be requested in writing and approved by the Scientific Exhibits Chair. With written approval to ASNR from the author, exhibits can be set up/removed by someone other than the author/contributing authors.

Acceptance Notification
Abstract disposition notification were sent via email Monday, February 25, 2008 to the person listed as the primary author of submitted abstracts following the peer review. If notification has not yet been received, contract Valerie Geisendorfer, vgeisendorfer@asnr.org.

Withdrawing an Abstract
To withdraw an abstract, a written request (email, fax or letter) must be sent by the submitting author to:

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Compliance
By ASNR policy, the content of all educational presentations given at ASNR meetings must be in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services regulations implementing this act. To comply with HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality must be maintained in all educational presentations (oral, printed or electronic). Members of the ASNR Audio Visual, Scientific Exhibits and Program Committees will monitor session and exhibit hall presentations to identify ways to improve overall presentation quality and HIPAA compliance throughout the programming. ASNR Annual Meeting Outstanding Presentation Awards
All abstracts accepted for oral presentation or poster exhibit are considered for these awards. One award is given in each of the following categories:

  • Adult Brain Neuroradiology
  • Functional Imaging
  • Head and Neck Radiology
  • Interventional Neuroradiology (Michael F. Brothers Memorial Award)
  • Pediatric Neuroradiology (Derek C. Harwood-Nash Award)
  • Spine Radiology
  • General Neuroradiology (Sponsored by Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Inc.)
Each award includes:
  • A $1,000 honorarium.
  • Announcement at the ASNR 47th Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2009.
  • Listing in the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR), posting on the ASNR website and mention in membership mailings.
