  • Excerpta Extraordinaire (Oral Presentation)
  • Scientific Poster (Printed)
  • Scientific Exhibit (Printed)
  • Electronic Scientific Exhibit (eSE)

Presentation Categories

Abstracts may be submitted in the following Presentation Categories:

  • Scientific Paper (Oral Presentation
An oral presentation (6 minutes in length) that summarizes the details of original investigative research. Required abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion. Scientific Paper abstracts may include one graphic file with a maximum of two images.
  • Excerpta Extraordinaire (Oral Presentation)
An oral presentation (3 minutes in length) that teaches a lesson, states and illustrates a problem in diagnosis, or focuses on noteworthy radiologic appearances of specific diseases, disorders, or anomalies.
Required abstract format: Purpose, Case Report, Imaging Findings, Summary.
Excerpta Extraordinaire abstracts may include one graphic file with a maximum of two images.
  • Scientific Poster – 4 feet (1.21m) high x 4 feet (1.21m) wide
A visual presentation of scientific studies that summarizes the details of original investigative research. Required abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion. Scientific Poster abstracts may include one graphic file with a maximum of two images.
  • Scientific Exhibit (Print Format) - 47 ½” inches (1.2m) high x 77 inches (1.95) wide
Scientific exhibits are analogous to review articles or pictorial essays. They should be a visual presentation/educational display designed to further the understanding of neuroradiology by featuring cutting-edge material or by offering an instructional review of a particular topic. Priority will be given to case series that illustrate and discuss concepts of significant importance to neuroradiologists that cannot be provided in other, more scientifically elaborate formats. Investigational data, when presented in this category, should include a broader educational message, and a more general perspective.
    Required abstract format: Purpose, Approach/Methods, Findings/Discussion, Summary/Conclusion.
  • Electronic Scientific Exhibit (eSE)
An intensive, visually oriented educational display that demonstrates novel and innovative applications for computers in neuroradiology clinical practice, training and/or research eSE’s highlight the unique didactic advantages of the computer and highlight its interactive potential.
    Required abstract format: Purpose, Approach/Methods, Findings/Discussion, Summary/Conclusion.
An eSE abstract can be submitted for presentation as a shared display or standalone display. Shared displays are those presentations that will run on a browser with or without browser plugins and does not require Internet access. (Note: Presentations created using PowerPoint, HTML, Flash, QuickTime, and Real Media can be seen on a browser using browser plugins. These are preferred presentation formats.)
