How-To Sessions
In addition to the Technical Exhibition, the leadership of the ASNR is pleased to announce the eighth annual slate of instructional How-To forums. These one-hour sessions, presented by major corporate contributors, deal with advances in imaging and procedures as well as principles in Neuroradiology and image information management.
The How-To Sessions are scheduled Sunday, June 6 through Thursday, June 10. The 2004 How-To Sessions will include breakfast sessions, offered daily, which will start prior to any scientific programming. One hour (box lunch) lunchtime How-To Sessions will also be offered. These are exclusive functions for all attendees and are held in the General Session room.
The How-To Sessions offer a unique opportunity for Neuroradiologists to discuss techniques, procedures, and products with their colleagues as well as with technical specialists from the imaging industry. Comments and suggestions submitted from other meeting
registrants over the last seven years have been integrated into this year's format.
The sessions include a brief didactic presentation and demonstration, all with a strong practical emphasis. A significant portion of each session is devoted to questions and answers as well as debate, when appropriate. Indications, problems, and solutions relating to imaging techniques will be addressed including advances in helical CT and CTA, functional MRI (diffusion, perfusion, activation, spectroscopy) and interventional procedures including thrombolysis.
The leadership of the ASNR looks forward to a repeat of the enthusiastic reception given to past years' How-To Sessions. The participation of the membership is integral to the success of this unique portion of the meeting and critical to their continued value to registrants and corporate contributors.
Please Note: Due to the direct financial support from companies to conduct these sessions, CME credit hours will not be granted for any How-To Session programming.
